The Work.
At The Monieson Centre, I was a co-investigator and the project manager for a multi-disciplinary research project with the Bank of Montreal (BMO) to study knowledge transfer. Within a specific division of the bank, they identified 46 individuals as “single points of knowledge”. As a risk reducing strategy, we helped them develop strategies for effectively transferring this knowledge to others, valuing knowledge, understanding why single points of knowledge exist, and in discovering how best to transfer this knowledge. I coordinated 13 researchers from 6 different universities (Queen’, McMaster, Nipissing, Johns Hopkins, Northeastern, Rotman) and coordinated three on-line surveys. This was a $125,000 research contract funded by BMO.
